I have to say that Jana's lessons are AWESOME!! When I first started out I thought just doing a "whatever" type website would be the best way to learn but I just wasn't interested in that site so the lessons were hard to understand and I was bored. When I completely started over and did a site that was interesting to me I had a blast and breezed right through the lessons. I spent a couple of nights not going to bed because I lost track of time I was having such a good time. Take the lessons, you will be happy you did. And if you have problems along the way, Jana is always there to help you figure it out!!

I signed up for Jana's lessons apprehensively because I had tried to learn html years ago and was brought to tears by frustration trying to learn. I thought it was too hard. Your lessons are so easy to understand. I always wanted my own webpage and didn't believe I was capable of building one. I've always had a hard time cutting and pasting. Now I have this awesome website. Knowing that I took it from a blank page to what it is now, is just so fulfilling. I even have family/friends who want me to build one for them. Who woulda guessed? I would like to again thank Jana for all the time effort and energy she put into developing her Basic html class lessons. Jana taught me Basic html between September of 2002 and March of 2003. I found her lessons are very easy to understand and logical. The lessons do not assume that you possess any prior html knowledge. Each new lesson has a progression and continues to build upon what you already know from the previous lesson. Jana includes in her lessons the importance of giving credit to graphics designers and how to link to their websites from your own website. Her lessons also cover how to make your website available through Search Engines, WebRings, and Banner Exchanges. I know I would not have my website now if I had not taken her class. The very best part is that it was all done on-line and at your own pace within a reasonable time frame!

When I saw the posting for HTML lessons with Jana, I was excited and quickly responded that I would like to be included! I was a bit nervous, it's been 12 years since I had been in any school type learning situations. Jana's HTML lessons are very thorough and easy to understand. I had no problems understanding what the lesson was requiring and there was sufficient information to help me complete each lesson(and Jana was always available for additional questions, if necessary) Jana's lessons take you step by step, ensuring that the student misses nothing. Jana taught me html about a year ago. Since then I have built two sites of my own, my family site at http://www.geocities.com/crysx4 and my childcare site at http://www.geocities.com/teddy_bear_daycare . I am extremely pleased with all that Jana covered in her lessons. She taught me everything I know and I plan on helping others. I have built two other sites for childcare provider friends of mine and I am attempting to teach them some html so they can update their sites on their own. Her easily understood directions and eagerness to see me succeed were the tools that helped me through the classes to understand the "gibberish" of html.
